a freshie's diary.
UWA's semester 1 begins.
yupps.
my first uni lecture?
CALCULUS B.
at 8am!
haha. yea.
my calc lecturer, Dr Kathleen, spent abt 20 mins on intro..
then she went straight into teaching!
i was like OMG!
haha. but i survived anw. =))
after my calc, i gotta rush to the Octagon Theatre..
for my Human Biology I lecture at 9am!
thankfully, it's just introduction for this one.
met up with Chris after that.
lol. i cldn't find him in Octagon..
coz it's just soo big..
but i found Navreen..
so i sat with Navreen instead. =)
Chris was like "where to go for Asian Business, you know?"
haha. i was like HUH?
coz i dun take that unit.
so we rushed to the library to try get a computer..
only to find it soo crowded.
it then suddenly came to my mind..
that i have access at MCL!
oh oh..
i also have access to ANHB's, Commerce's..
and of cos, the Library's PCs.
hehe. yea.
that's one of the advantages of taking a double degree.
u'll have access to PCs of different schools. =p
i digressed.
yeh. so we were at MCL.
oh, i met Sharon there btw.
yeh. we were trying to get into OLCR..
to check the venues..
and we have problems with it!
these systems also choose the right time to play with u eh?
and then. ha!
i suddenly remembered..
Thames is doing Asian Business as well!!
haha. and so i texted Thames..
found out it's at Murdoch LT..
and sent Chris on his way.
oh, Chris was like 2o mins late?
lol.
if only i have a better memory.
anyhow.. the guys called me after their lecture..
& we met up for lunch.
i reckon itx pretty cool..
yeh. heheh.
it's just takes a phone call..
"hey, u in uni? free now? meet up?"
and ha! we'll be somewhere in the uni crapping.
haha.
after lunch..
i had Chem. with Chris.
itx soo good to know someone taking the same unit.
btw.. Chem was really cool.
the lecturer written on the board H2O
and asked the class wat was that.
naturally, most of us said water.
and he was like "ha! it's chalk!"
LOL!!
and he goes on to explain it's just a formula..
and blah blah blah.
[im lazy to type]
and then.. our Chem lecturer gave some demo!
it was hell cool, i tell u.
he got 3 balloons.
and he burst it with fire.
the 1st contains Helium.
so it was just a loud bang!
the 2nd contain Hydrogen..
and he was kind enough to tell us to cover our ears.
coz it was basically an explosion.
beside the LOUD BANG,
there was a ball of fire!
yeh.. and we were in a Lecture Theatre!
lol.
the 3rd..
contains Hydrogen + Oxygen!
lol.
this practically blows me away!
literally!
seriously, if u were there,
u cld feel the impact!
i reckon the balloons WOWed everyone.
yeh.
it's funny how i hated yr 12 chem..
and i actually thought Chem was the best lecture so far
hopefully.. my enthusiasm for chem is here to stay.
i want to do well for uni. =)
after that, i have another hour of break..
which i spent just catching up with Chris.
then i went to Maths Lab..
where i completed my 1st uni assignment.
i got 4 out of 4 btw.
LOL!
but that was really easy stuff.
yeh. anyone can do it. =)
just when i was abt to go home..
Thames called me and asked for help.
haha. it's Raymond's timetable again.
Raymond is like so relaxed..
while Thames & me are so worried.
and it's not even our timetable!
lol.
we took the bus to the busport after that.
and we went on our way home.
the 3 of us took 3 different buses home. yeh.
oh. i met Shirley while waiting for the bus.
Shirley was my host grp leader.
and she's really cute.
haha. she's just so happy & enthusiatic.
yeh. so we talked all the way back.
there u go.
that was pretty much my first day.
yeh. it was pretty alright.
except that it was soo hot today!
hopefully tmr will be cooler.
but the forecast doesn't look encouraging.
ahh! i dun like the heat!
and im tired.
btw.. im going to have 8am classes on 4 day now.
not 3 days. =(
