round and round we go. =)
well, the 1st week back wasn't too bad. in fact, it's much better than what i have expected. i mean, the lectures are indeed boring. but in general, things are alright. for example, i realised my timetable is actually not that bad. i guess it's just a matter of getting used to it.
anyways, i never did know that i actually do know quite a bit of people in school. yeh, on the 1st day back, i was pretty suprised that people are coming up to me and say 'Hi!' and asking me about my holidays. i don't know.. i just wasn't expecting it since i'm not really close with them. but then again, no one is close with anyone, since most of us came from different high schools. hmm.. it's cool tho. at the end of the day, it's friends who will make the uni expreience memorable. =)
i have been going to the Tavern during most of my breaks the past week. =x don't get me wrong tho, im not there drinking. we have our lunch there and just talk and relax. Terry and some other lads will always be on the soccer game while Trish and I would be watching. haha, it was Terry who brought Trish and me to the Tav for the 1st time last semester. =p
well.. 1st week haven't really been full on. but from next week on, things will start getting a lil uglier. haha, that's when tutorials start which means, there will be work to be done! =(
enough of school for now ey? hmm.. i had an appointment with the trainer at the gym today. well.. we did a fitness appraisal on me. and she was like "do yourself a favor. carry backpacks from now on. it's what they are for!" haha.. some of u might have noticed that my shoulders aren't straight. one side is actually higher than the other. that's because there's a curvature on my spine. anyhow, she got me on this new program and i'll be doing a lot of back exercises, in a bid to strengthen my back and hopefully rectify the problem.
oh.. if u do see me around.. and im not standing straight, do remind me that i have to. my trainer said my posture is really bad(because of the spine problem) and i have to make a consious effort to make sure im standing straight with my shoulders back all the time. or else, i'll be hunching by the time im 40! now, that's really bad news i reckon. so u might see me acting wierd, trying to have a really good posture from now on. hehe
hmm.. i guess i better get to bed now.
it's a pretty long day for me tmr. =/
i'll try to update soon tho. hehe

and sem2 begins.
it's 5.59 am on a cold winter morning here in Perth. traffic on the roads outside are minimal. the air is crisp and fresh. and Mr Sun has yet to wake. it's quiet throughout the house and everything seems so peaceful.
then suddenly, the clock turned 6.00am. "BEEP.. BEEP.. BEEP.." and Shannon Noll's What About Me blared on within a few seconds of each other. the noise has indeed disturbed the tranquility. those were the sounds of the alarm from my digital clock and my phone. the battle with the snooze buttons has begun...
LOL! im just painting a scenario of what might happen tmr morning.. because it's back to school!! u know that feeling where u feel like u want to go back to school because the holidays are getting a lil too boring and yet on the other hand, u don't want to go back to school because well.. it's school! haha, yeh, that's the kind of feeling i have right now.
in the blink of an eye, there's only a semester more of my freshman year to go. university life is not easy. as many would have thought. after learning my lesson in sem1, im pretty determined to be more organised in sem2 and will try my best not to fall behind. but as always, it's easier said than done. i really have to put in some effort here ey?
hmm.. i saw this statement somewhere.
"the earlier you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up"
if you think about it, it does make sense doesn't it? although it's really politically incorrect. LOL. no, i shall not heed the advice of the statement. or at least i hope! :p
remember i was complaining how i got sent to Target Fremantle when there are nearer Targets to me on my last post? well.. im kinda glad that they sent me there now. haha, i must be really cranky the other day? i mean, who wouldn't love Freo? it's like a lil town of it's own, full of life and energy. =) and what's more, it's just by the sea.
anyways, most of the staff at Target Freo was really friendly. it gives ya the feeling like u belong there u know? yeh, the 2 days i spent there was just a fantastic working experience. well, among the 3 stores i've been to, i reckon i enjoyed Target Freo the most.
oh oh.. what's really interesting is some of the ladies who came down also went to the toysale at BigW Riverton or Kmart Booragoon 2 weeks ago? seriously! haha, i told some of the staff at Target that i recognised some of them and it just left us thinking what these people are going to do with all those toys? i mean trolley loads of toys. heaps of them. u gotta see it to believe it. oh wells, at least the kids will be really happy. lucky kids. =)
hmm.. i guess im off to bed now.
a good start to sem2 will be great.. hehe.
so.. let's hope the snooze buttons will lose the battle or else.. i don't know. i might be really really late. with that, nighty night people!

sleepless nights
yet another sleepless night for me. i don't even remember how long this has been going on! i guess it must have been for at least the past 4 nights. gawd, i hope my insomnia will not go away soon especially when sem2 starts next week.
this is crazy. i gotta be at work at 8am later and here i am at 3.50am WIDE AWAKE. ahh!! today is going to be a really long day. and why do i have to be sent to Target (Fremantle) when there's a much nearer Target in BullCreek! even the Target in the City will be much more easier for me!
and no, im not working for Target. im representing Mattel, that toy company. so i get sent to stores to ensure we don't lose sales because the stocks aren't out on the shelves.
i do sound a little cranky, don't i? lol, i don't reckon anyone who can't go to sleep will be exactly cheerful either. but i have at least appear cheerful later.. because Target is having is massive toy sale. now, u can't be grumpy to children, can u?
it's the last 2 days of my vacation job tho.
today and tmr and im done.
and it's back to school!
gawd, how depressing.
u guys already know im not happy with my timetable..
so there's no need for me to grumble on hey?
talking abt the job.. it's actually not my offer. someone else got sent to Freo store but he called in sick. so my boss called me and asked if i can be able to help her. and i can really do with more pocket money so yeh, i accepted the offer.
but that totally messed my plans up.
i gotta call up the gym to cancel my appointment for later this afternoon.. and i won't be able to make it for the outing on friday. and i have not seen Nicole, Fiona, Rungend, Mary.. for MONTHS. and to make things worst, when Nic and i was discussing, im the one who said "yeh, friday's great!"
anyways, u guys have fun alright?
and let's hope we can to catch up soon.
4.15am
im still am wide awake.

one more week.
yeh, semester 2 starts in a week's time.
and i have entered my preferences for my class timetable on OLCR. although we get to organise our own timetable at UWA, it's not really that great. because u only get to choose from classes that are available. and if all the classes available are at crappy times, u still end up with a crappy timetable. boo! =(
oh wells, at least we still get to organise our own timetable.
i heard some Unis plan it for ya.
and i have at least 24 contact hours next sem.
that's even more than sem 1!
and if u remember, i made quite a fuss abt it then. so u can imagine my frustration right now. lol. and to make things worst, i have got labs held at the QEII campus, which is located at the medicine faculty, everyweek. that's at least a 15 mins walk from the main campus! i don't mind walking for 15 mins, i just don't like to rush. i can see myself running towards QEII after my statistics lecture already!
anyways, results for sem 1 came out last tuesday. i didn't do very well. but i passed all my units. and im just grateful for that. =) and i better work hard for sem 2. and that might just need a whole load of determination, looking at the units i gotta do. man, i envy those who do have electives, because all i have are core units!
hmm.. im sure u are bored of my blabberings.. so i shall not drone on. hehe, let's look at something interesting for now =p.
a friend sent me some "profound" sayings.
and they are pretty funny. so i thought i'll share a few here. =)
"I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Award"
"Borrow money from pessimists - they don't expect it back"
"Half the people you know are below average"
i don't know abt ya, but these are some of the most politically incorrect statements i have ever heard. wicked stuff. hehe

back from hibernation. =p
i don't know if that's a good tittle because..
1) i don't think there will be regular postings after this update.. so im not really 'back' hey?
2) hibernation is rather a debatable choice of word. winter is not officially over, but it doesn't really feel like winter. actually, the seasons this year is pretty dodgy. geez, talk about wierd climates.
anyway, im kinda excited to know i have readers from Germany, which is really on the other side of the world. hmm.. so i should really update more interesting post often hey? then perhaps people who do come to this blog actually leave a comment on my taggy board. i digressed.
im talking about this because Nicole's cousin in Germany found this blog and in turn found Nicole. apparently, they lost contact for like 14 years? and then.. 14 years later, my blog acts as a medium for them to be in contact again. i don't know about you but i reckon it's pretty cool. i mean.. come on, what are the odds?!?
hmm.. i haven't been doing much this hols.
novels. dvd. msn.
yeh.. that pretty much sums up what i've been doing.
which is why im pretty glad i got a job offer!
espc. when im inexperienced.
it's one of those vacation positions.. so it's only a couple of days. and my first assignment will be tmr and friday. and $15/hr is pretty good!
i hope i won't be the only sent to the Riverton store.. because i reckon it'll be pretty awkward for me to constantly keep HER noticed by the public and to show everyone how SHE works, you know, what one should do to change HER clothes and stuff.
i would much rather work with those cars.. the more sportier the better! and perhaps some car-racing on the tracks will be just dandy! =))
isn't it just nice to be working with TOYS? lol!
SHE actually refers to Barbie. and the cars? HotWheels!
i'll actually be representing Mattel and im suppose to support retailers during the July Australia-wide toy sales. im sent to BigW Riverton.. so guys, if u wanna get some toys.. look for me there!
oh oh.. i was talking to someone from Mattel the other day.. and i found out Barbie actually dumped Ken.. years ago! (and someone said Barbie got a new boyfriend but i really don't know who.. yeh, im not exactly a Barbie fan, if u haven't realised) for those who don't know, Ken is supposed to be Barbie's partner. and for some reason unknown, they broke up and Mattel stopped the production of Ken. lol! it's kinda interesting to know that there are scandals in the toy world.
i guess i'll be pretty childish for the next 2 days. haha, what do u expect when you are working with Superman, HotWheels, MatchBox, Scrabble, Uno, etc. [and also Barbie and a whole range of dolls stuff =( ] guess i have to sleep early tonight since i gotta be down at the store by 8am.
let's hope all will go well for the next 2 days! =)
